Missé Beqiri, 39, has shared insights into her dietary habits and the contents of her refrigerator, describing her approach to food as 'adventurous' and highlighting a particular dessert she finds difficult to moderate.
Beqiri, a model, stated that she allocates approximately £200 per week for groceries, prioritizing high-quality ingredients sourced from local farmers' markets. She expressed a preference for cooking with fresh produce and avoiding overly processed foods. Her typical breakfast consists of porridge with berries, nuts, and honey or coconut, though eggs, avocado toast, and Greek yogurt with fruit are also common choices. For lunch, she usually opts for a substantial salad with chicken or salmon, while dinners are frequently Italian or Thai dishes. Throughout the day, Beqiri consumes coconut water to stay hydrated and snacks on fruit, nuts, or yogurt.
When it comes to sweets, Beqiri admitted that tiramisu is a dessert over which she has “no self-control.” Her preferred takeaway options include pad thai or green curry from Thai restaurants. She also mentioned that when hosting guests, she enjoys preparing Italian meals with fresh pasta and crusty bread, often utilizing leftovers for subsequent lunches.
These revelations come in the context of significant personal loss for Beqiri. She has spoken about the challenges of becoming a single mother to her daughter River following the death of her ex-partner, Jake Hall, who passed away in May at the age of 35. Hall sustained fatal injuries after falling through a glass door at a villa in Mallorca.
Beqiri confirmed that while she and Hall were no longer a couple at the time of his death, they had shared a life and were once engaged. She expressed that his passing is particularly sad but acknowledged that his family and their child are most affected. She also revealed that she shares a son, Julian, with her ex-husband Anders Lindegaard.
The model also reflected on the increased pressure she feels as a single parent, describing the responsibility as 'scary' because she is solely responsible for both parental roles. This loss follows another profound tragedy in Beqiri's life: the death of her brother, Flamur Beqiri, who was fatally shot on Christmas Eve in 2019 at the age of 36. Reflecting on these experiences, she has questioned how such events could happen to her again as she navigates her grief.
