Legendary New York sports radio personality Mike Francesa has sold his Long Island home in Manhasset for $7.5 million. The transaction, confirmed by a Zillow listing, occurred on Wednesday.
Francesa, 72, purchased the residence in 2008 for $5.2 million, indicating a profit of $2.3 million on the sale. The property is situated on approximately 1.5 acres.
The main house encompasses 7,204 square feet, featuring 20 rooms, five bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, four fireplaces, four patios, two walk-in closets, a spa bath, an elevator, and an outdoor kitchen. The estate, built in 1940 and remodeled in 2009, also includes a separate 1,275-square-foot cottage with a golf simulator, a kitchen, and 2.5 bathrooms.
Exterior amenities include a tennis court, bocce court, a golf putting green, and a 20-by-40-foot gunite pool. The annual property taxes were listed at $74,818.
The property had been on the market for several years, with asking prices adjusted from $10.5 million in 2023 to $9.5 million in 2024, and $8.6 million in June 2025 before the recent sale. An agreement between the parties was reached on April 23.
Francesa, a native of Long Island, has previously stated his intention to spend more time in Florida, where he purchased property. His children have at least begun college, with him noting in 2019 that he planned to relocate once they were in higher education.
The iconic radio host, known for his over 30-year tenure at WFAN, which began in 1989, and his co-hosting of "Mike and the Mad Dog" with Chris Russo, now hosts a self-named podcast. He had periods of retirement and un-retirement during his long career at the station.
