The New York Mets are set to host the Boston Red Sox for a three-game series at Citi Field from Friday, July 10, to Sunday, July 12. Both teams are currently below .500 in the standings.
The series opener on Friday, July 10, is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. with Sonny Gray (10-1, 2.61 ERA) set to pitch for the Mets against Nolan McLean (6-5, 3.73 ERA) for the Red Sox. This game will also feature an Eric Emanuel T-Shirt giveaway and a fireworks display.
Saturday, July 11, will see a 4:10 p.m. start, with Freddy Peralta (5-7, 4.68 ERA) pitching for Boston. A Devin Williams replica jersey will be given to the first 15,000 fans in attendance.
The series concludes on Sunday, July 12, with a 1:40 p.m. game. A limited number of Mets Kids sunglasses will be available for the first 5,000 children aged 12 and under.
Last-minute tickets for all three games are available, with some seats priced as low as $20 including fees on SeatGeek. Other games start at $24 including fees.
The Mets, currently 40-54, are coming off a series win against the Kansas City Royals, their first in over a month. "It's a good feeling," A.J. Ewing stated, as reported by The Post. "Guys are fired up. We'll try to keep it going."
The Red Sox, with a record of 43-48, have been on a recent hot streak, winning 8 of their last 10 games. Boston will be represented at the All-Star Game by Willson Contreras, Ranger Suárez, and Aroldis Chapman. The Mets will send only Juan Soto to the Midseason Classic.
This series marks a reunion of sorts, echoing the historic 1986 World Series between the two franchises, though both teams are seeking to improve their current records. The Mets' 2026 schedule also includes a three-game stint at Yankee Stadium from September 11-13.
