The Metropolitan Police has reportedly dropped its investigation into a photograph shared by Green Party leader Zack Polanski on Instagram. The image featured a man wearing a T-shirt with the slogan "We're only making plans for Nigel" accompanied by a guillotine graphic, which some interpreted as inciting violence against Nigel Farage.

Polanski, who shared the post to his 713,000 followers, stated that he made an "inadvertent mistake" and did not apologize for the post. He insisted he had done nothing wrong, explaining that the image was part of a collaboration with a photographer and he had not paid close enough attention to its content. He told BBC Newsnight on Tuesday that he was "horrified" by the message once he realized its nature and had immediately removed it.

Reform's home affairs spokesman Zia Yusuf had accused Polanski of "inciting murder," and the party confirmed it had reported the Green Party leader to the police. Nigel Farage had also called for Polanski's arrest.

At the time the photo was shared, a Met Police spokesman stated the force was "conducting inquiries" and took "reports of this nature extremely seriously."
