Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm, 52, will bring her signature energetic style to the Strictly Come Dancing results show on Sunday, performing her new song "Sweat" with professional dancers. The performance will feature a fitness-inspired group routine incorporating elements like skipping ropes, dumbbells, spin bikes, and treadmills.
Chisholm, known as Sporty Spice, has previously expressed that Strictly is the only reality competition she would consider and has been approached annually to participate as a contestant. Her last appearance on the show was in 2007 with the Spice Girls.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that BBC executives are worried about the possibility of all four judges – Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke – departing the show after the current season. Their contracts are set to conclude at the end of this series and will require renegotiation.
Insiders indicate that Shirley Ballas, 66, may be considering relocating to the U.S. to spend more time with her son, who works as a professional dancer on America's Dancing With The Stars. Concerns have been amplified following the departures of hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, with fears that ongoing controversies could prompt the judges to leave as well. Any departure would leave the judges as free agents, potentially able to seek new opportunities if contract terms are not agreeable.
The upcoming Saturday night show will also feature Delta Goodrem returning to perform a Rumba with her professional partner Kai Widdrington. Goodrem had missed the previous week due to a rib injury, but received a pass to the next round as per competition rules.
