Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, shared words of encouragement with pregnant singer Pia Toscano at a recent gala event in Victoria, Canada, celebrating David Foster's 40th anniversary with his foundation. Toscano, who performed at the star-studded gathering, recounted a touching interaction with Markle and Prince Harry.

After Toscano performed, she approached the couple at the head table. Markle, cradling Toscano's baby bump, offered congratulations and told her, "This is the most beautiful time of your life." Toscano also noted Prince Harry's gentlemanly gesture of moving a chair for her. The couple, who have two children, Archie and Lilibet, have been open about their experiences with pregnancy and motherhood. Markle has previously spoken about the challenges of pregnancy under intense public scrutiny and the grief of a miscarriage in 2020.

The event, held over the weekend, also saw singer Sydnie Christmas, the 2024 winner of "Britain's Got Talent," in attendance. Christmas described Prince Harry as a "very kind soul" and noted that Markle "looked like she knew everybody" and "like she was having the best time."

Toscano, an "American Idol" alum, is expecting her first child in December. Christmas has a new single, "Spirit," due in September. The three-day celebration successfully raised $14.5 million for the David Foster Foundation, an organization that provides financial assistance to Canadian families whose children require life-saving organ transplants. Other notable attendees included Bill Gates, Adam Levine, Josh Groban, and CeeLo Green.
