McDonald's is reportedly set to reintroduce its Spicy Chicken McNuggets and Mighty Hot Sauce next month, according to social media reports. The fast-food chain has not officially confirmed the return of these popular items, which have been absent from menus for approximately five years.

The Spicy Chicken McNuggets, first introduced in 2020, feature a "sizzling tempura coating" made with cayenne and chili peppers, offering a notable level of spice. The Mighty Hot Sauce, last available in February 2021, is described as a blend of crushed red pepper and cayenne peppers with a touch of sweetness and garlic, noted as the chain's hottest dipping sauce at the time of its release. The sauce was the first new sauce offered by McDonald's since 2017.

Reports about the potential comeback of these spicy offerings surfaced on Instagram via a foodie account known as Snackolator, which shared details about McDonald's alleged fall menu lineup. The post also suggested the return of other items, including new flavored coffees, dirty sodas like a Dirty Diet Dr Pepper and a Vanilla Swirl Coca-Cola, and a Fanta Orange Dream. Additionally, a Red Bull collaboration featuring a Dragonberry Energizer flavor was mentioned.

Some social media users claiming to be McDonald's managers have commented on the posts, purportedly confirming the return of the spicy nuggets and sauce. However, the chain has not yet provided an official statement.

Spicy Chicken McNuggets marked the first flavor innovation for McNuggets since their introduction in 1983. McDonald's has historically offered a variety of dipping sauces, including Tangy Barbeque, Honey Mustard, Sweet 'N Sour, and Spicy Buffalo.

Due to the independent operation of many McDonald's locations, availability of menu items can vary by store and region. Customers are advised to check with their local restaurants for specific offerings.
