Former NFL star and ESPN analyst Marcellus Wiley was arrested in Florida and faces a charge of domestic battery. The 51-year-old was booked into the Orange County Jail on Thursday, July 4, following an alleged altercation over the holiday weekend.

According to custody records, Wiley remains in the county jail system and is being held without bond. Law enforcement officials have not yet released specific details regarding the circumstances leading to the charge, and the identity of the other individual involved has not been disclosed.

Wiley was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He played defensive end for a decade, appearing for the Bills, San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, and Jacksonville Jaguars. He earned a Pro Bowl selection and Second-team All-Pro honors in 2001. After retiring from professional football in 2006, Wiley transitioned to a media career, co-hosting programs such as ESPN's SportsNation.

This arrest comes months after Wiley faced sexual assault allegations from four new accusers. These claims, filed in New York, expanded upon a 2023 lawsuit in which three women accused Wiley of rape during his time at Columbia University. Wiley has consistently denied all sexual assault allegations.
