A man has shared a story of revenge after his ex-girlfriend's infidelity, opting to take her mother to a Taylor Swift concert. The man, identified as Andre, purchased two tickets to Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour when the singer visited Australia in 2024.

Andre revealed his plan on the radio show 2DayFM Breakfast with Nath & Emma, explaining that he originally bought the tickets for his then-girlfriend and her mother, as both had expressed a desire to attend the show together. However, after discovering his girlfriend had cheated on him, Andre altered his plans.

"I took my ex's mom to a concert that they both wanted to go to because she cheated on me," Andre stated on air. He added that he and the ex-girlfriend's mother discussed the infidelity, with her being disappointed in her daughter's actions.

When asked by the radio hosts if he had a romantic connection had developed with the mother, Andre coyly responded, "Let's not air too much dirty laundry on the radio," declining to confirm or deny any further developments.

The radio hosts likened the situation to the Fountains of Wayne song "Stacy's Mom," which features a similar theme. The incident also brought to mind a previous instance on Australian radio where a wife confronted her husband's mistress on air.

In that earlier case, a wife named Kylie tearfully pleaded with Sophie, her husband's mistress, to end the affair, stating it was ruining her life. Sophie, who worked with the husband, acknowledged the relationship was "sexual." Social media commentary at the time largely placed the responsibility on the husband for breaking his vows, rather than on the mistress.
