A 40-year-old woman was chased by a man wearing a Chucky doll mask through the streets of Philadelphia during an early morning run last Wednesday, according to police.

The incident occurred near City Hall around 5:30 a.m. Police released video footage showing the masked man running behind the woman as she crossed an intersection. The woman turned around, and the suspect altered his course to continue the pursuit.

A second camera captured the jogger running down a five-lane road with the suspect following her. The suspect reportedly changed his route to the sidewalk while the jogger continued down the road. He was unable to catch up to her.

The suspect is described as a Black man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and between 16 and 20 years old. Police allege that he has terrorized multiple individuals in the community, sometimes laughing at victims and asking if they are "ready to die."

Another individual, who identified herself only as Jameka, told WPVI that the suspect approached her with his phone out shortly after chasing another woman. Jameka claimed she warned the other woman about the suspect. The suspect then reportedly attempted to enter a local coffee shop but was denied entry before turning his attention to Jameka.

Jameka stated that she yelled at the suspect not to follow her and adopted a defensive stance. She described the suspect as appearing "disoriented" and said he ran away after she kicked him. Jameka also believes the suspect was filming the encounters on his cell phone.

Investigators have released photos of the suspect, including one image of him without the mask but with his face obscured by a balaclava. Police stated that the suspect will face several serious charges once apprehended.

Philadelphia police are asking anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity or whereabouts to call 215-686-8477.
