A man died at the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert, festival organizers announced. The individual, identified only as a man in his mid-50s, experienced a medical emergency on Thursday and received lifesaving measures at the event's emergency care center, where he was pronounced dead. Organizers stated that his identity would not be released until his family had been notified.

The death occurred as severe weather, including heavy rains, led to the lockdown of the festival's main entry and exit gates in the Black Rock Desert. Festival organizers advised those planning to attend to postpone their travel and urged attendees already at the event to refrain from operating vehicles.

The Pershing County Sheriff's Office has confirmed the death, stating that no foul play is suspected. This incident marks the fourth death at the festival in four years.
