A 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged with disorderly behavior and property damage after allegedly smashing his guitar and creating a disturbance at an OTR service station in Adelaide. The incident occurred on Tuesday at approximately 6:15 p.m. at the OTR station on Pulteney Street.

Witnesses captured footage of the man knocking numerous containers of nuts onto the floor and shouting obscenities. He was then seen placing his hiking backpack on, before taking his guitar and repeatedly striking it against a table until it broke. Following the outburst, he informed bystanders he would purchase a new guitar before departing the premises.

South Australia Police confirmed officers responded to reports of a man damaging property inside the station. The man was subsequently arrested and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on August 18.

This incident follows a separate event approximately ten months prior at a Hungry Jack's outlet located within an OTR service station in Port Augusta. In that instance, a worker was allegedly assaulted by a customer after being informed that the store was closed and no longer taking orders. The customer reportedly became violent, biting and scratching the employee before fleeing the store. The worker sustained multiple cuts to his face and bite marks to his back and arms, requiring hospital treatment.
