A trial is scheduled for December for a man accused of threatening Prince Andrew, whose full name is Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Alex Jenkinson, 39, faces a charge of a public order offense for allegedly causing the former Duke of York to "fear unlawful violence" as he walked his dogs.
Jenkinson, who did not appear in court on Wednesday, has pleaded not guilty to this charge. He also denies a separate charge involving threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behavior with the intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence against another man, Stephen Terry, in King's Lynn on a previous day.
The defendant is currently on conditional bail. His bail conditions prohibit him from approaching Sandringham, Buckingham Palace, Balmoral, Windsor, or Highgrove. He is also forbidden from attempting to contact Mountbatten-Windsor directly or indirectly, approaching him, or entering Norfolk.
Mountbatten-Windsor has been residing in Marsh Farm after vacating Royal Lodge in Windsor. This move followed his association with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Late last year, he was stripped of his princely title and dukedom by the King due to his connections to Epstein. Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
