Deckhand Luke Brumer has departed the yacht in Season 11 of Below Deck Mediterranean following an incident dubbed "sheetgate." The situation culminated in Brumer's exit after a confrontation with bosun Nathan Gallagher over unhygienic living conditions.

The conflict originated when Brumer and chef Joy Lefaucheur shared a cabin with Gallagher. After an intimate encounter with stew Gen Lillie in Gallagher's bed, Brumer failed to clean the sheets, a detail that eventually came to light and caused friction with Gallagher. Episode 7 concluded with Brumer expressing his concerns to Captain Sandy Yawn about the strained atmosphere.

In the subsequent episode, titled "He Came, They Saw, It’s Bonkers," Brumer explained his decision to leave the charter season. Captain Yawn supported his choice, commending him for handling the situation maturely.

With Brumer's departure, the crew faces a challenge in finding a replacement deckhand. Captain Yawn is reportedly working to fill the vacant position before the next charter, though it is unclear if a new deckhand will be available in time.

Stew Gen Lillie hinted at future developments in the season, suggesting that the crew dynamic will continue to be dramatic. She teased the potential return of familiar faces to the show later in the season and alluded to further interpersonal conflicts among the interior and deck teams.

Captain Yawn also discussed the upcoming episodes, noting the return of former chief stew Hannah Ferrier. Ferrier, who previously appeared on the show for its first five seasons, will be visiting the current crew. Yawn highlighted Ferrier's continued friendship with Aesha and expressed that her return was a welcome addition.
