Love Island winners Lorenzo Alessi and Julia Majchrzak appear to be bridging a recent rift, with Alessi taking steps to engage with Majchrzak's social media content after she accused him of "embarrassing" her.
The couple, who secured the £50,000 prize during the show's live final in Mallorca last month, have faced public scrutiny over their relationship's progression since returning to the UK. Reports indicated they had only been on one date and experienced an "awkward car crash interview" on This Morning, fueling speculation of an early split.
Earlier this week, Majchrzak, 26, publicly stated that Alessi, 28, had "embarrassed" her by liking photos of models on Instagram rather than hers. Alessi initially explained this by claiming Majchrzak's photos had not yet appeared on his feed. He later addressed the situation in an interview, attributing his actions to "to be 100 percent pure naivety" and stating he did not anticipate the press attention.
"We're not running around getting married tomorrow. I'm learning how to be in a committed relationship, and I'm learning what is acceptable and what is not," Alessi said. "These are now real-world things that we can experience together."
However, Alessi has now appeared to address Majchrzak's concerns by liking a photo she posted from the Love Island reunion party. The image featured Majchrzak in a black lace dress. Alessi commented on the post, "All over my feed," and also liked other posts from the event.
During a previous radio appearance on Capital XTRA, Majchrzak expressed frustration, stating, "Guys, this is not funny. He's already embarrassed me online... He had no time to arrange a date in five days, but was sat in bed liking other girls' Instagram pictures."
Their appearance on This Morning also highlighted tensions. When asked about rumors of a breakup, Alessi described their status as "exclusively dating," with Majchrzak confirming they were "still dating." Alessi attributed the lack of dates to a "crazy few days" since the final, stating a need for things to "settle down" before planning outings.
Fans have expressed skepticism about the couple's connection, with some commenting online that they appeared unconvincing as a winning pair. Concerns about Alessi's social media activity had surfaced previously, leading some viewers to question if the couple had already separated, drawing comparisons to other Love Island couples who had broken up shortly after the show concluded.
