Dashcam video has captured the dramatic moment a lorry collided with an overpass in New York. The footage shows a spray of debris flying as the truck struck the overpass, subsequently tipping over and skidding on its side.
The trailer then crashed into a Toyota that was parked on the right shoulder of the road. The driver of the Toyota was transported to a hospital and is expected to survive their injuries. The trailer driver did not sustain any injuries.
Authorities issued a ticket to the trailer driver for operating a vehicle that exceeded the maximum height restriction for the roadway.
