Original WAG Lizzie Cundy attributed England's 3-2 World Cup victory over Mexico to her "lucky bikini," declaring "this is our time" as she celebrated the win.

Cundy, 58, who was previously married to former Chelsea player Jason Cundy, told MailOnline that she was exhausted after staying up all night to watch the match. Sharing a photo of herself in a red and white bikini, she wrote, "My England lucky bikini worked!… we did it!" She added, "I’ve never had so much excitement at 4:30am in the morning… Three Lions with 26 heroes, 40 years since Maradona’s hand of God in Mexico! This is our time, this is why I love football and why I love our country. We can do this! My lucky England bikini is officially staying on!"

Her friend Ruth Langsford commented, "You CANNOT take that off until the final now!!"

Cundy also reflected on past personal difficulties, including the public breakdown of her marriage to Jason Cundy in 2012, following her discovery of his affair with opera singer Hannah Pedley. She described the period as the "most awful time" in her life, recalling the intense media scrutiny and the social isolation she experienced.

"There's a picture of me in a swimsuit, looking over my shoulder, and it was all about my marriage split, and I didn't even know about it myself," she said. "Friends I knew didn't know what to say. The mums at school would cross the road from me because they were embarrassed."

The TV star got married to the former Chelsea player Jason in 1994, but split in 2012 after 18 years together (pictured together in 2009)

Following her divorce, Cundy found dating challenging due to trust issues, recounting an instance where she suspected a date was recording her. However, she stated that her dating life is now "great" and that she enjoys long-distance relationships. She described her current approach to dating as liberating, stating, "I am loving dating. I do long-distance relationships, which is fantastic."

She added, "You know, guys are good for different things. You know, I used to have one guy and I'd think, 'Oh, if only he was a little bit more fun and wanted to go out at night'. I've got guys, you know, one likes football, one likes going out for dinner, one makes me laugh, one's good in bed, you know? Got it all."

Cundy concluded, "So that's what... I'm free. I love it, and I've never been happier."
