Presenter Lisa Snowdon, 54, is embracing what she calls a "new chapter" in her life, as reports emerge of a potential split from her fiancé, George Smart. The couple, who have been together for 12 years and became engaged in 2016, were last pictured together on Snowdon's Instagram in January.

In a recent interview with Prima magazine, Snowdon shared her perspective on aging, stating, "I'm 54 now and see this time in my life as a new chapter. It's important to reframe ageing in a more positive way." She described this period as a "powerful place" where she is focused on her own needs and desires, referring to it as a "second spring."

Snowdon, who does not have children, noted that this time can be particularly potent for self-reconnection and making significant life changes. She also expressed a desire for a "big TV presenting gig" but confirmed she was not offered the Strictly host role.

Navigating Menopause

The presenter also opened up about her experiences with menopause, detailing how alcohol, specifically wine, could trigger intense "rages." She explained that after a few glasses, she would experience unexplained anger, fatigue, and sleep disturbances. Snowdon has since reduced her alcohol intake, focusing on balance.

During the height of her menopause, Snowdon reported that anxiety significantly impacted her work, leading to a decline in confidence and panic attacks. She described instances where she struggled to perform hosting duties, even in front of large audiences, feeling as though her mind was working against her and causing her to "lose myself."

Menopause is a natural biological stage marked by the cessation of menstrual periods, a decline in hormone levels, and the end of reproductive capability. It is typically diagnosed after 12 consecutive months without a period, usually occurring between the ages of 45 and 55.

Relationship Status and Future Plans

Fears of a split from fiancé George Smart, a businessman, surfaced after Snowdon revealed in March that she was in no rush to marry him. She told Hello! magazine that she had never envisioned a traditional wedding and viewed marriage more as a contract. She and Smart had briefly dated 20 years prior to reconnecting in 2014.

While Snowdon and Smart holidayed together in New York in December 2025, they have not shared photos of joint travels since. Snowdon's social media has recently featured solo holidays to destinations like Spain, as well as outings with friends and her father. Smart's social media account is currently set to private.

Despite the speculation, Snowdon has emphasized her focus on this new phase of life, seeking to reconnect with herself and embrace opportunities for growth and change.
