Supporters of Lindsay Clancy disrupted a press conference held by Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz on Friday, shortly after a mistrial was declared in Clancy's case. The group, many wearing pink, chanted slogans including “corrupt” and “shame,” and questioned the district attorney’s motives.

As Cruz spoke to reporters about seeking justice for Clancy’s three young children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan, who were found dead in their home in January 2023, supporters interrupted, with one shouting, “You only cared when the kids were dead! Why don’t you care about the mother?”

Cruz responded to the interruptions by stating, “Insensitive is killing three children. Insensitive is ignoring those facts. We have an obligation to stand up for those people.” He reiterated that the case was about the “cruel, calculated killing of three innocents” and that his office’s focus has always been on obtaining justice for the child victims.

Clancy’s defense has centered on the claim that she was experiencing postpartum psychosis when she fatally strangled her children. Supporters have rallied around her, appearing at the courthouse in large numbers and expressing solidarity with shirts and buttons bearing messages like “Peace for Lindsay” and “Justice for Lindsay.” They have also praised her attorney, Kevin Reddington, as a strong advocate for women’s rights.

Online, some theories have emerged, including accusations that Clancy’s husband, Patrick Clancy, was responsible and framed her. The district attorney’s office has stated that no decision has been made regarding a potential retrial.

Among those present at the courthouse was Tracey Wright, 54, of Cape Cod, who told The Post she altered her Labor Day plans to attend. Separately, a self-described crime enthusiast named Dawn Light, 56, was arrested earlier in the week outside the courthouse and charged with aggravated intimidation of a juror for allegedly photographing jurors. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
