Lindsay Clancy's mother, Paula Musgrove, testified on Monday afternoon as a defense witness on the 14th day of her daughter's murder trial. Clancy, a former nurse, is accused of killing her three young children—Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan—at their home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, in 2023.
During her testimony, Musgrove described the deep affection she held for her grandchildren, stating, "I loved my grandchildren with all my heart, and you never know what it's like to love a grandchild until you become a grandmother." She further elaborated, "It was the most beautiful thing. I loved them with all my heart."
Musgrove also spoke about her daughter's lifelong aspiration to be a mother. "I felt it was the best thing that ever happened to her, and she would do anything for her children. She was just a loving mother," she told the court.
As her mother spoke, Clancy became emotional, placing her head in her hands and sobbing quietly. The trial is ongoing.
