A GoFundMe page established to support Lindsay Clancy has raised over $1.1 million following the declaration of a mistrial in her high-profile murder case. The fundraising goal has been increased as the legal process continues.
The mistrial was declared after one week of deliberations by a jury in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The fundraising page, organized by Brandee Mulligan, has seen a surge in contributions, pushing it closer to its updated target.
Mulligan announced the decision to raise the fundraising goal in an update on Friday, the same day the mistrial was declared. "I’ve decided to raise the goal of this fundraiser since this process has been extended, so is the time Paula and Mike will remain away from their home, continuing to carry the costs that come with being there for their daughter every day," Mulligan wrote. She added that the purpose of the fundraiser remains to alleviate financial burdens for the family as they support their daughter.
A GoFundMe spokesperson confirmed that the fundraising page is verified. The page aims to provide support for Clancy and her family during the ongoing legal proceedings and its associated challenges. Lindsay Clancy was on trial for charges related to the deaths of her three young children.
