LeBron James came within inches of achieving his first career hole-in-one during a recent golf outing. The Philadelphia 76ers star posted a video to Instagram showcasing his tee shot on a par-3 hole that narrowly missed the cup.

The outing included former Los Angeles Lakers teammate Austin Reaves, James' son Bronny James, and members of the “Bob Does Sports” crew. James described the moment on Instagram, writing, “Almost had my first hole in 1 today. I called it before I swung it too! Damn close.”

The near-ace occurred at The Preserve at Bandon Dunes in Oregon, a location that has become a frequent spot for James as his interest in golf has grown. He has recently launched a golf-focused YouTube channel and has spoken about his desire to make the sport more accessible to young people.

This golf trip also served as a reunion for James and Reaves, who have maintained a friendship despite James’ departure from Los Angeles in the offseason. Their shared enthusiasm for golf has been a notable part of their continued connection.
