A law student charged in connection with the discovery of a bomb in a car in County Monaghan has been granted bail. Isobella Perrie Sullivan, 25, of Abbeylands Park, Clane, County Kildare, had faced a delay in her bail application while checks were carried out on an independent surety.
During a court hearing on Tuesday, it was confirmed that a €15,000 (£12,800) surety had been approved. The court heard that the surety was provided by an individual in County Mayo, along with their bank details. Sullivan did not appear before Cavan District Court either via video link or in person for the hearing.
Gardaí (Irish police) requested an amendment to her bail conditions, seeking to include a stipulation that she not make any contact, directly or indirectly, with co-accused individuals or their associates. The judge noted that this condition was already covered by the bail terms set during her initial court appearance.
Sullivan is scheduled to appear again before Monaghan District Court in August.
