Lane Kiffin's daughter targeted with vulgar banners ahead of Ole Miss return

Landry Kiffin, daughter of LSU head football coach Lane Kiffin and a student at Ole Miss, stated she was subjected to inappropriate taunts and sexual jokes through vulgar banners displayed around Oxford. The incident occurred shortly before her father's anticipated return to Oxford for a rivalry game.
In a TikTok video, Landry Kiffin shared that she received images of banners containing offensive messages directed at her and an individual she claims she has never met. She expressed frustration that a young woman would be made the subject of sexual jokes due to her relationship with a public figure.
"I think that turning a girl into the punch line of a sexual joke because you’re upset at somebody someone she’s related to should not be OK," Kiffin said in the video. "I understand emotional are high this week and people are upset but I am my own person."
She added, "I’ll just never understand how someone can feel good about themselves putting such vulgar things about a girl on a giant banner hanging from their house. I feel like that’s really mind-blowing to me. I just hope people realize there is an actual person behind the jokes that they make."
Landry Kiffin stated that she has enjoyed her time at Ole Miss, which made the situation particularly upsetting. She concluded her social media post with the plea, "Let’s do better."
Lane Kiffin is scheduled to return to Mississippi for Saturday's game, having previously coached the Ole Miss Rebels before moving to LSU. Heavy police presence is anticipated for the rivalry matchup in Oxford.
Kiffin agreed to a seven-year contract with LSU worth $13 million annually. He announced his move to Baton Rouge on November 28, following Ole Miss's victory over Mississippi State. His departure from Oxford led to legal discussions concerning the SEC and LSU regarding Kiffin's initial plans to roster former NFL players, a matter that was later resolved. During his six seasons in Oxford, Kiffin led the Rebels to a 55-19 record.
