Major League Wrestling (MLW) star LaBron Kozone is preparing for a confrontation with Joe Coffey, stemming from an incident at MLW Blood & Thunder where Coffey admitted to incapacitating veteran wrestler Teddy Long. Kozone, who considers Long a mentor, intervened during the event and has vowed to seek retribution.

"Just to do just that, just to make old boy suffer," Kozone told Fox News Digital, referring to Coffey. "You know, initially, I had a lot of respect for him. His talent, his work ethic, what he's done, the people he's affected, but that's crossing the line. So, yeah, he's going to he's going to get it."

Long had previously endorsed Kozone, calling him "the next big thing for MLW." Kozone expressed his appreciation for this acknowledgment, stating, "Teddy was an inspiration to me, what he represents in the industry, everything that he's done. And then to have him acknowledge me in that way and to endorse me in that way, that means the world to me."

Kozone was a notable free-agent signing for MLW, having secured victories against Okumura and Alan Angels early in his tenure. He now aims to defeat Coffey and pursue championship opportunities within the promotion.

"Championships, world titles," Kozone stated when asked about his future goals. "That's what I'm here for. I'm here to be the top guy in MLW. I 100% feel like I can be that guy. I feel like I can carry the company to higher heights. I feel like I do represent a new breed in MLW, which has been the selling point here recently that's been getting a lot of talks about MLW in a positive way. So, championships. It’s where championships is where the money is and I'm here to put on and provide."

The rivalry between Kozone and Coffey is set to escalate in the ring on Saturday during an episode of MLW "Fusion." The show airs Saturdays on YouTube, Veeps, and beIN Sports.
