Kyle Sandilands has publicly criticized Sunrise host Natalie Barr following an interview where she questioned him about controversial remarks made during his KIIS FM radio career. Sandilands, 55, described the interview as "bulls***" in comments made while leaving the Seven studios in Sydney.

A video shared online by Chattr captured Sandilands backing his car out of the studio parking lot, expressing his dissatisfaction with the interview.

During the segment, Barr, 58, asked Sandilands if he would be comfortable with his three-year-old son, Otto, listening to his past broadcasts. Sandilands responded by questioning Barr's understanding of the show's content, stating, "I think you have a dramatised imagination of what the show was."

Sandilands directly addressed Barr's questioning about his past statements, which included remarks about women, disabilities, the Holocaust, and broadcasting private conversations. "Daring to question Nat about, 'So, you're horrible to women, and handicapped people, and anyone with any sort of sadness.' No, I'm not. That's bulls***," he stated.

When asked about genuine regrets regarding his past comments, Sandilands acknowledged that some remarks were "genuinely bad or mistakes or stupid things that I've said." However, he also suggested that the context and narrative can be altered once comments reach wider audiences or are discussed in media, stating, "Other things can be twisted once it gets to AM radio and the whole narrative, the reality of what things are changes when it gets to talk back."

He added that he views such instances as learning lessons. "You take, you learn, you realise who you've offended. You realise what you've said and why it was offensive," Sandilands explained. "Then you just get back up the next day and keep working."

Sandilands characterized "The Kyle & Jackie O Show" as primarily a comedy program, suggesting that "it only takes one person to be offended in this day and age and then the whole world has to stop." He indicated that he has continued to work for 35 years, and some things inevitably offend people.

This exchange follows Sandilands' appearance on "The Debrief with Savanna Young," where he discussed the end of "The Kyle & Jackie O Show," his relationship with former co-host Jackie 'O' Henderson, and shared a health update regarding aneurysms. Sandilands also expressed doubts about claims regarding his former co-host's manager.
