Australian radio personality Kyle Sandilands announced on his subscription-only show, "Kyle Sandilands Live," that he will begin taking weight loss injections. The announcement came shortly after he consumed a chicken meat pie for breakfast.

Sandilands, 55, acknowledged recent criticism regarding his decision to use GLP-1 medications, such as Mounjaro, which are prescribed for diabetes but also used for weight management. He defended his choice, asserting that he requires the medication and that there are no supply issues, claiming "everyone uses it."

"If I had a headache, I would take a Panadol. If I had a sore throat, I would take a vitamin C. If I wanted to root around in Thailand, I would take PREP. What's the difference?" Sandilands stated, drawing a parallel between his use of weight loss medication and common remedies.

The media personality previously lost 20 kilograms before his 2023 wedding, having weighed 140 kilograms. In April, his wife, Tegan Kynaston, reportedly implemented a strict diet for him. Sandilands shared that his meals then consisted of items like ten grapes for breakfast, two boiled eggs, and Coca-Cola. He cited negative comments about his appearance as a reason for his dieting efforts.

Sandilands has also publicly discussed significant health issues in recent years, including brain and chest aortic aneurysms, which he has linked to smoking and other lifestyle factors.
