Kyle Cooke, a prominent figure from "Summer House," has publicly criticized West Wilson, alleging that Wilson negatively impacted Amanda Batula's life and career following her departure from the show "In the City." Cooke's strong statement was made in a comment on Wilson's Instagram post, which was later removed.
Cooke's comment, which read, "More like [you’re] a coke head that blew my ex’s life and career up," was reportedly posted early on the morning of the report and was captured by the social media account Bravo and Cocktails before its deletion. Representatives for Cooke, Batula, Wilson, and Bravo did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Batula's exit from "In the City" for its second season was confirmed shortly before Cooke's comment. Sources provided varying reasons for her departure. One source suggested that Bravo had offered Batula a part-time role for the upcoming season, which she declined because the network allegedly would not permit her to film with her boyfriend, Wilson. This claim was disputed by a second source, who stated that the timing was simply not right for either Batula or Wilson to appear on the show. A third source offered a different perspective, alleging that the network was unwilling to meet Batula's salary expectations.
The timeline of events leading to these public statements includes Batula and Cooke announcing their separation in January after four years of marriage. Two months later, Batula and Wilson confirmed their relationship, a development that significantly altered friendships within the Bravo reality television landscape, particularly impacting Batula's relationship with "Summer House" co-star Ciara Miller, who had previously dated Wilson.
The fallout from Batula and Wilson's relationship was a central theme in the "Summer House" Season 10 reunion, where Miller referred to Batula as a "snake in the grass." Bravo subsequently filmed both "In the City" and a surprise bonus episode of "Summer House" to document the repercussions.
Following these events, Wilson was removed from "Summer House" Season 11, and Batula also departed the series. Despite these departures from Bravo programming, Wilson is reportedly set to join the cast of Netflix's "Million Dollar Secret" for its third season. Other notable cast members announced for that show include Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia, Chelley Bissainthe from "Love Island USA," and Christine Quinn from "Selling Sunset."
For "In the City" Season 2, original cast members Cooke and Lindsay Hubbard are confirmed to return, joined by two new couples and one new single cast member. Other original cast members, Danielle Olivera and Eoin Heavey, along with Andrea Denver and Lexi Sundin, will not be returning for the second season.
