Kroy Biermann, estranged husband of Kim Zolciak, was seen on Saturday in Alpharetta, Georgia, his first public sighting since their 15-year-old son, Kroy Jr. (KJ), was arrested in April. Biermann, a former NFL player, appeared somber as he was observed picking up KJ's high school football jersey.
KJ was arrested on accusations of aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery. According to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail, the alleged victim stated the incident occurred in a family changing room at a gym. She claimed KJ suggested they go into a co-ed sauna, and while passing through the changing room, he allegedly began to touch her against her will, forced her to perform oral sex, and attempted to engage in sexual intercourse. The alleged victim stated she eventually got away from him.
Zolciak has publicly denied the allegations, stating in a statement to the Daily Mail that KJ categorically denies the accusations and has passed a polygraph examination. She also claimed that an examination found no DNA belonging to her son. Zolciak expressed confidence that the facts and evidence would prove KJ's innocence.
Biermann has maintained a public silence regarding the allegations. The jersey he was seen carrying bore the number '71,' matching the number KJ wore in a May Instagram photo posted by Zolciak.
Investigators were dispatched to North Fulton Hospital on April 24, 2026, following a reported sexual assault. The alleged victim and her father claimed the incident took place the previous day at a nearby gym. A hospital examination of the alleged victim found no evidence of male DNA in her mouth or vagina.
Kroy Biermann was initially contacted by police on May 14, speaking with an officer on May 18. According to reports, Biermann stated he would discuss the matter with Zolciak. KJ is being held without bond at the Juvenile Court of Fulton County, with a hearing scheduled for September 1. His attorney has stated KJ is innocent and intends to prove the allegations are false.
Zolciak and Biermann, who filed for divorce in 2023, have been involved in a contentious custody dispute over their minor children: Kash, 14, and twins Kane and Kaia, 12. Biermann also adopted Zolciak's daughters Brielle, 29, and Ariana, 24. In March, Biermann sought full custody, accusing Zolciak of mismanagement of parenting responsibilities. In June, a judge granted Biermann primary physical custody of the four minor children, though they share joint legal custody.
