Kristin Cavallari has once again stated that she did not receive any financial settlement from her ex-husband, former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler, following their 2022 divorce. Cavallari, who appeared on the podcast "Aspire with Emma Grede," explained that the success of her business, Uncommon James, provided her with the confidence to end the marriage.

Cavallari claimed that if she had not had her business, she could have taken half of Cutler's earnings. However, she stated that because Uncommon James was a significant asset, she had to give Cutler half of its value in cash and properties. "I didn't get anything, which I'm so happy about now," Cavallari said. "But I don't get any money from my ex-husband."

This assertion is not new. Cavallari first made the claim last August, and Cutler subsequently refuted it. During an appearance on the "Take it Outside" podcast, Cutler described the claim as "hogwash" and "completely false."

Cutler argued that it would be legally improbable for a divorce settlement to result in one party receiving zero financial assets after a marriage of several years with three children. He pointed to his NFL earnings, which are publicly available, and the standard legal process involving lawyers and judges, suggesting that no judge would approve such an unequal division of assets.

Over his 12-year NFL career with the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, and Miami Dolphins, Cutler earned approximately $127 million in contracts. This included a significant contract extension with the Bears in 2014 and a $10 million deal for one season with the Dolphins in 2018.

Cutler previously stated that the insinuation of zero dollars being split was "reckless" and "borderline slander." He assured that the financial distribution was "definitely not zero dollars."
