New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson recently showed his support for actress Mariska Hargitay at her Broadway performance in "Every Brilliant Thing." The NBA champion attended the show on Friday night at the Hudson Theatre, where Hargitay, known for her role in "Law & Order: SVU," was performing.

Following the performance, Brunson and Hargitay posed for photos backstage with their respective spouses, Ali Marks and Peter Hermann. A source told People that Brunson, 29, was seated center orchestra for the show, which explores themes of mental health, family, and resilience. Towards the conclusion of the play, Hargitay, 62, presented Brunson with his Knicks jersey.

The audience reportedly gave the athlete a standing ovation. This event follows the Knicks' victory over the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals 2026.

After the play, the foursome reportedly enjoyed dinner together, with photos obtained showing Brunson and Hargitay leaving a restaurant with their partners.

Brunson and Hargitay developed a friendship stemming from their shared support for the Knicks. Hargitay previously celebrated the Knicks' championship win by posting a throwback photo of a young Brunson on Instagram, writing "You found a way" and congratulating the team. Brunson has also expressed a desire to potentially act in an episode of "Law & Order: SVU" during the offseason.
