Kmart customers are facing backlash after photos emerged online showing a significant mess left behind in one of the retailer's stores. The scenes, captured at the Blacktown location in western Sydney over the weekend, depict aisles strewn with stationery, empty boxes, and abandoned shoes.
A customer shared footage of the disarray on Instagram, criticizing the state of the store and noting a decline in its upkeep. "Kmart Blacktown gets progressively worse every time I go," the post read.
The images showed products scattered across the floor, with piles of shoes and sandals left in the middle of aisles. This has prompted an outpouring of criticism from social media users who expressed disgust at the behavior.
"So disgusting of the public to treat a place of business like that," one user commented. Another added, "This is so disrespectful!" Many voiced sympathy for the store's staff, questioning the effort required to return items to shelves.
"I feel so bad for the staff. How hard is it for these customers to put the items back on the shelf?" one commenter wrote.
Daily Mail has contacted Kmart for comment regarding the incident.
