Kimberly Wyatt, 44, has outlined the rigorous diet and fitness plan she follows to prepare for the Pussycat Dolls' upcoming reunion tour. The singer, who achieved fame with the group in 2003, revealed her strategies for maintaining her physique and energy levels amidst a busy schedule that includes radio DJing, running a dance academy, and raising three children.
Wyatt emphasized a heightened awareness of her dietary intake as she has gotten older. "I've had to really be strict on myself with what I eat," she stated, highlighting the importance of starting the day with nutritious foods and ample water. Her typical breakfast consists of yogurt, granola, honey, and blueberries. Snacks often include watermelon, and for lunch, she favors a caprese salad with prosciutto and avocado.
Dinner routines are more flexible and centered around her family. Meals can range from spaghetti to fish fingers, chicken, or barbecue dishes, reflecting seasonal availability. Wyatt also grows some of her own produce, including chili plants, zucchini, and pumpkins, believing that eating seasonally offers significant health benefits.
A key non-negotiable in her diet is abstaining from food after 7 p.m.
Fitness and Recovery
Wyatt's preparation for the Pussycat Dolls tour involves extensive daily dancing for eight to ten hours during rehearsals. Beyond tour preparations, her fitness routine includes High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), weightlifting, cycling, and playing football with her children. Dance, in various forms such as jazz, street, and ballet, remains her preferred form of exercise, aligning with her role as director of the Kimberly Wyatt Dance Academy, which serves over 300 students.
In 2024, Wyatt underwent a hip replacement, a procedure she kept private for over two years. She has spoken positively about the surgery, noting that it has significantly improved her mobility and quality of life, allowing her to sleep and walk normally. Wyatt drew parallels with athletes like Andy Murray, who have successfully returned to their sports after hip replacement surgery.
Initially, Wyatt expressed fear about the procedure's impact on her mobility and ability to perform with the Pussycat Dolls. However, she now advocates for embracing life's challenges and celebrating personal progress. "Life doesn't have to be done. We just kind of roll with the punches and keep on going," she remarked.
The Pussycat Dolls' PCD Forever Tour is scheduled to begin on September 9 in Denmark and conclude on October 13 in London. Wyatt describes managing her career, family, and tour preparations as a juggling act that requires mindfulness, journaling, and prioritizing family time. She strives to maintain enthusiasm and practice gratitude daily to navigate the pressures of her commitments.
Separately, Wyatt has joined a judging panel for a nationwide competition by the cat food brand Marro, seeking to find a cat whose meow sounds most like 'Marro.' The contest offers a £10,000 prize, with entries accepted via Instagram and TikTok using the hashtag #MeowForMarro until September 6.
