Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann appeared separately in Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta, Georgia, on Friday to support their 15-year-old son, KJ Biermann, at his bond hearing. KJ Biermann faces seven felony counts, including aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, and sexual battery, stemming from an alleged incident on April 23.
Zolciak, 48, arrived in a black dress, while her estranged husband, 40, wore a grey top and jeans. They did not interact with each other in the courtroom. An eyewitness described Zolciak as appearing "stone-faced" throughout the hearing, while Biermann looked "stressed." Zolciak's daughter, Brielle Biermann, also attended the hearing and sat with her mother.
The couple, who were photographed together at their son Kash's football game last month, arrived separately for Friday's hearing. Another eyewitness described Zolciak as seeming "hectic and scattered" earlier in the week, and Biermann as looking "devastated" and in a "somber mood."
Last week, a Georgia grand jury indicted KJ Biermann. His attorney, Jason Sheffield, stated that the defense expects KJ to enter a not guilty plea to all charges and has filed a motion to transfer the case to juvenile court for confidentiality proceedings.
Zolciak has maintained her son's innocence, telling Page Six, "He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged." She added, "Every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence. At the same time, no one should be publicly condemned based solely on an accusation."
Kroy Biermann has not yet publicly commented on his son's arrest. The hearing on Friday followed the abrupt cancellation of a hearing that had been scheduled for Tuesday.
