James Morgan, the husband of "NYPD Blue" actress Kim Delaney, was arrested for public intoxication on Monday after a verbal argument with Delaney and a flight attendant during a Delta flight from Detroit to Los Angeles.
Morgan was detained upon landing at Los Angeles International Airport. The specifics of the argument between Morgan and Delaney remain unclear. Delta Air Lines issued a statement asserting "zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior, as the safety of our customers and crew always comes first."
This incident adds to a history of legal troubles for Morgan and Delaney. In February, Morgan was arrested for obstructing or delaying a public officer following a disturbance reported by neighbors at their Marina Del Rey residence. In March 2025, both Delaney and Morgan were arrested and charged after a physical altercation at their home. Morgan had claimed Delaney attempted to hit him with her car, leading to Delaney being booked for felony assault with a deadly weapon and Morgan for misdemeanor battery.
Delaney and Morgan were married in October 2022. The actress has shared photos of her husband on social media, with the last public post featuring Morgan dating back to May 2025.
