Kevin Knight, a rising star in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), is on the cusp of a significant career milestone as he prepares for his third attempt at the AEW World Championship. The 29-year-old wrestler is set to challenge Kenny Omega in his first pay-per-view main event at AEW Redemption, taking place in Canada on Sunday.

Knight's momentum has been building since his arrival in AEW just over a year ago. A pivotal moment occurred at the Double or Nothing event in May, where Knight executed a top-rope frog splash on Darby Allin as Allin was being stretchered out after losing his AEW World Championship to MJF. This high-profile spot, according to Knight, underscores the trust placed in him by AEW president Tony Khan.

"I've only been with AEW a little over a year and people don't get a moment like that ever in their entire careers," Knight stated in a recent interview. "To get that kind of moment in New York City just shows we're into a new era and The Jet is going to be one of the pillars and faces of that era, and this is just that start."

The nickname "The Jet" reflects Knight's rapid ascent in the wrestling world. His upcoming match at the Bell Centre will be broadcast on HBO Max and Prime Video.
