Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has publicly stated that he has received no information from Senator Mitch McConnell regarding the latter's health status, more than a month after Beshear sent a letter requesting an update.

In July, following weeks of absence from the Senate without detailed explanations of his condition, Beshear shared a letter he had sent to McConnell. The letter expressed concern from Kentuckians about the Senator's well-being and his capacity to serve. Beshear emphasized that public officials have a commitment to their constituents for transparency, particularly concerning their ability to hold office.

McConnell was hospitalized on June 14, initiating an extended period away from public view and Senate duties. The initial lack of detail from his office about his condition led to significant public uncertainty.
