Keith Urban is reportedly feeling relieved rather than devastated about his ex-wife Nicole Kidman's rumored new relationship with private equity investor Michael Reinstein. This stands in contrast to earlier reports that suggested Urban was upset by photos of Kidman with Reinstein.
A source told the Daily Mail that Urban, 58, was the one who initiated the end of their nearly 20-year marriage and had been experiencing guilt over hurting Kidman. The report now states that seeing Kidman, 59, appearing happy with Reinstein has eased this burden.
"Keith was the one who wanted out of the marriage, and he felt guilty about hurting Nicole," an insider told the outlet. "The source claimed Urban is 'relieved that she’s moved on' and that there is 'no jealousy' over Reinstein."
Kidman and Reinstein were first seen together in Portofino, Italy, sparking romance rumors. Reinstein was later photographed picking Kidman up from an airport in Los Angeles, and they departed in his Ferrari. Neither has publicly confirmed a relationship.
Kidman filed for divorce from Urban in September 2025, citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce was finalized in January. The couple shares two daughters: Sunday Rose, 18, and Faith Margaret, 15.
Urban has also faced romance rumors since the separation, including speculation involving country singer Karley Scott Collins and his guitarist Maggie Baugh, both of whom have denied any romantic involvement.
