Kate Ferdinand's stepson, Lorenz, has revealed a new tattoo that pays tribute to his blended family. The 20-year-old goalkeeper shared an image of the ink on his upper arm, which reads 'One of five,' during a family dinner in London.

This gesture comes months after his brother, Tate, spoke candidly about his past negative feelings towards Kate when she began a relationship with their father, former England footballer Rio Ferdinand. Tate had admitted to trying to sabotage the relationship out of loyalty to his late mother.

Kate Ferdinand and Rio Ferdinand, who began their relationship in 2017, are parents to two young children, Shae and Cree. They also co-parent Lorenz, Tate, and their sister Tia. The blended family recently gathered for dinner in London, where Lorenz displayed his tattoo. Kate responded to the tribute on social media, writing, '@lorenz.ferdinand this !!'

Lorenz and Tate are currently pursuing their football careers and are signed to Brighton & Hove Albion's Under-21 team. The family relocated to the UAE last year, while the two older sons remained in the UK.

In a previous interview on Kate's podcast, Tate detailed his struggles with accepting Kate. He confessed to telling lies about her, such as accusing her of meeting unknown men, as a way to express his loyalty to his mother, Rebecca, who died of breast cancer in 2015.

Tate described a period where he 'hated' Kate, experiencing guilt for liking her due to his feelings of loyalty towards his mother. He also recounted an incident where a Valentine's Day balloon delivery led to rumors that Kate had locked him and his siblings in a room, a story that spiraled out of control.

Kate Ferdinand has previously spoken about the challenges of being a stepmother in a family that had experienced loss. In her book, 'How To Build A Family,' she described feeling like she was 'walking in the steps of someone else’s life' as she bonded with Rio's children.
