Kanye West has reached a settlement in a sexual harassment lawsuit brought by his former personal assistant, Lauren Pisciotta. Pisciotta's legal team confirmed the settlement on July 23, with court documents indicating it is "unconditional." Her lawyers are expected to file for dismissal of the case within 45 days of the settlement date.
The terms of the settlement have not been disclosed.
Pisciotta worked for West in various capacities from 2021 to 2023, including as a personal assistant and chief of staff for his music and fashion ventures. She initially filed the lawsuit in 2024, alleging that West had sexually harassed and assaulted her on multiple occasions.
Her claims included allegations that West asked her for sex, sent sexually explicit text messages, and masturbated in her presence during a private jet trip. Pisciotta stated in court filings that she repeatedly protested West's advances, telling him they were "not professional."
One incident described in legal documents involved West allegedly inviting Pisciotta to his hotel room while they were working on material for his album Donda. Pisciotta claimed that West then lay down on his bed and insisted she join him. She stated that while she reluctantly complied, West began discussing sex in graphic terms, and she continued to deflect his advances. Pisciotta alleged that West then inappropriately groped her, and despite her immediate protests to stop, he eventually fell asleep.
During the same trip, Pisciotta alleged that West entered her hotel room, pushed open her bathroom door while wearing only a towel, and exposed himself. She further claimed that he pinned her against a bed and sexually assaulted her before offering a "sincere apology," though she stated the harassment continued.
West, through his attorneys, has consistently denied all allegations made by Pisciotta. A representative for West previously told the Daily Mail that Pisciotta's claims were increasingly absurd and contradictory, questioning the credibility of her statements.
