Justin Baldoni and his wife, Emily, have relocated from Hollywood to Nashville, Tennessee, seeking privacy for their family after enduring a two-year legal battle with their "It Ends With Us" co-star, Blake Lively. The move came after their home address was reportedly doxxed twice, allegedly by Lively's legal team.
In a recent Instagram video, the couple spoke about the emotional strain of the "injustice and pain" they have experienced. "They've gone through the wringer together," a source close to Baldoni told the Daily Mail. "Seeing her husband falsely accused and then seeing this woman have her case dismissed and then she's still going out and saying she's advocating for victims - it's been tough to watch."
Baldoni, 42, stated that the video was a spontaneous decision to help him move forward. "There is so much to say, and it makes it hard to speak," Emily added, acknowledging the difficulty in articulating their experience. "But what does feel important is that we can genuinely say that we are sitting here today feeling immense gratitude for so many things and so many people and so many things that have happened to us."
The legal dispute, which began after a falling out on the set of the domestic violence movie "It Ends With Us," saw Lively, 38, agree to settle her case against Baldoni in May. This settlement followed a judge's dismissal of most of her claims. However, the conflict is not entirely resolved, as Baldoni's legal team is contesting Lively's demand for $8.3 million in legal fees, describing the amount as "exorbitant" and "deeply flawed."
Baldoni's lawyer, Ellyn Garofalo, filed a court document arguing that Lively's fee request includes excessive charges for multiple lawyers attending the same hearings and for internal strategizing. The court is expected to rule on the fee dispute in the coming weeks, leaving Baldoni and his wife in a state of limbo.
Sources suggest that Lively's own standing has been affected by the litigation, noting her absence from Taylor Swift's recent wedding, potentially due to Swift being drawn into the legal proceedings. Representatives for Lively did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
