New York Mets designated hitter Juan Soto exited Friday's game against the Dodgers in the sixth inning due to left calf soreness, adding to a series of injury concerns for the player this season. Jorge Polanco replaced Soto in the lineup.

Soto had been walked twice before leaving the game at Citi Field. This latest incident marks another instance of Soto experiencing a physical issue, as he has been sidelined for periods in each of the last three months.

In April, Soto missed 15 games after being placed on the 10-day injured list with a right calf issue. He later dealt with back soreness in June, which caused him to exit a game against the Cubs and miss the subsequent game. Earlier this month, the 27-year-old also left a game against the Phillies due to mild left calf cramping and soreness.
