Jools Oliver Sells Children's Clothing Brand for £2.3 Million

Jools Oliver, wife of celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, has sold her children's clothing brand, Little Bird, to the retailer Next for £2.3 million. The sale represents a significant financial success for Oliver, who launched the brand in 2012.

Little Bird, marketed as a 'nostalgic, inclusive lifestyle brand,' was influenced by Jools Oliver's own childhood. Next, which already carried Little Bird items, has now acquired the brand. Documents filed at Companies House indicate Jools Oliver resigned as a director of Jools Enterprises Ltd, the company through which she managed her earnings, and its address has been registered at Next's headquarters.

This financial achievement comes as Jamie Oliver's restaurant chain faced difficulties, leading him to invest £25 million of his personal wealth in an attempt to rescue it before it collapsed into administration in 2019. Jools Oliver has declined to comment on the sale.

In other celebrity news, Masterchef winner Thomasina Miers is continuing her treatment for breast cancer, which includes chemotherapy and a mastectomy. She described nausea as the worst side effect but is managing fatigue by prioritizing rest and physical activity like dancing and walking.

Actor Andrew Garfield recounted an uncomfortable experience at Universal Studios in Los Angeles after consuming a marijuana-laced edible, which he described as a "horrible" and dizzying experience. Meanwhile, Alex Jones, co-presenter of The One Show, shared a highlight from her 16 years on the program: an incident where Stephen Fry and Sheridan Smith got stuck in a lift.

Separately, actress Joanne Froggatt has defended her "great teammate" Tom Hardy, stating he deeply cares about his characters and the story of their project, "MobLand." This comes after reports suggested strained relations between Hardy and Dame Helen Mirren during the filming of the second series of the gangster thriller due to alleged tardiness.
