Jonathan Anderson, the Creative Director of Dior, has broken his silence on designing Taylor Swift's custom wedding gown, describing the experience as "emotional" and a "joy."
Swift and Travis Kelce were married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden. Both the bride and groom wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture designed by Anderson for the ceremony. This marks Anderson's first couture wedding dress for a celebrity client.
"It was a joy to work with her. We became very good friends," Anderson told WWD. He added, "It's an emotional thing doing someone's wedding."
Anderson reportedly worked "in close collaboration with the couple" on the design in Paris. While official images of Swift's wedding dress have not yet been released, the anticipation has generated significant fan speculation. Swift is known for dropping hints about her choices, and she was seen carrying Dior's "Cigale" bag and a "Lady Dior" bag in the months leading up to the wedding, fueling rumors about her designer.
Following the wedding, Anderson presented his second couture collection for Dior, which included a bridal gown that some speculate may resemble Swift's actual dress.
