John Cena has revealed he recently underwent a second Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) hair transplant, nearly two years after his initial procedure which he described as "life-changing." The 49-year-old retired wrestler shared details about the process, which began in November 2024 when he first sought treatment at the Anderson Center for Hair in Atlanta, Georgia, following online criticism about his hair.

"The objective is to get more hair, and this was the best way to do it," Cena told People. "I went back to him like, 'Man, you did great. I have this one small, small, small spot. Can you do it?' He's like, 'I can. My best results are — if you're bold enough to shave your head, I can keep the follicles.'"

Cena returned to the Anderson Center on June 29 for an eight-hour FUE procedure, arriving with a newly shaved head. He expressed confidence in the ongoing treatment, stating, "I'm rocking this hair thing with the promise that it's working. I have full trust and faith in him with this process."

In addition to the transplants, Cena has been undergoing PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and exosome treatments. His daily regimen also includes red-light therapy, minoxidil, finasteride, vitamins, and specialized hair care products.

"I hate the fact that if there wasn't so much shame around it, I'd have gotten it done 10 years ago," Cena remarked in a previous interview, noting the prevalence of hair loss among men. "I thought I was alone, but seven or eight out of 10 [men] suffer from thinning or baldness."

Cena's recent public appearances include promoting his role as Acme Corporation lawyer Buddy Crane in the upcoming film "Coyote vs. Acme," scheduled for release in the UK on August 21 and in the US on August 28. He also promoted "Matchbox: The Movie," where he plays an undercover CIA agent, set to premiere on Apple TV on October 9. Additionally, Cena is nominated for his first Emmy Award for producing the action-comedy "Heads of State," with the 78th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards taking place September 5–6.
