"Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon recently addressed the extended absence of first lady Melania Trump from public view, incorporating the situation into his monologue with a series of jokes.

Fallon noted that Melania Trump has not been seen publicly for 29 days, with the last photograph of the couple together being from the FIFA World Cup final in New Jersey on July 19. He offered speculative and humorous theories about her disappearance, including that she might be involved with another prominent Republican figure who has also been out of the public eye. One joke suggested she was hiding in an airport catering truck following an assassination threat in Turkey.

"All I know is that it's going to be crazy when we find out she ran off with Mitch McConnell," Fallon quipped, referencing Senator McConnell's own recent absence from public life as he recovered from a fall. Fallon had previously mocked a "proof of life" photo released of the recovering senator.

Melania Trump's absence from recent high-profile events, such as the rescheduled White House Correspondents' Dinner and the funeral for the late Senator Lindsey Graham, has fueled public speculation.

Fallon's monologue also included a jab at former President Donald Trump, with whom he performed an impression. Fallon suggested Trump should hire his doctor as a press secretary due to their purported ability to "spin facts and numbers." This remark alluded to Trump's recent physical exam at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, after which officials stated he was in "excellent health."
