Former first lady Jill Biden has publicly praised her son, Hunter Biden, stating that it is his "time to shine" amid his recent media appearances and social media activity. In an interview on Jamie Kern Lima's podcast, Jill Biden expressed pride in Hunter's willingness to share his experiences.
"We’re just so proud of him, that he can be so honest and say things other people won’t say, and feel comfortable with it, because he’s been through it," Jill Biden said. "I think now is Hunter’s time to shine. He’s doing really good things."
The former first lady described the turnaround in Hunter Biden's life as "amazing" and suggested that positive outcomes can emerge from difficult situations. She recalled the personal difficulty of hearing Hunter's memoir read aloud during his trial, describing it as "heartbreaking."
Hunter Biden has recently appeared on several media platforms, including NPR, the podcasts of California Governor Gavin Newsom and Don Lemon, and "The View" co-host Ana Navarro's show. He also participated in interviews on Barstool Sports' "Macrodosing" podcast and with "I've Had It."
During one podcast appearance, Hunter Biden addressed speculation about his political future, stating, "I'm definitely not running for anything." He also discussed his father's performance during a past debate, recounting seeing President Biden appear as a "deer in the headlights" and later learning about his father's Stage 4 prostate and metastatic bone cancer diagnoses, which were not publicly revealed until the following year.
Jill Biden's comments come as Hunter Biden continues to navigate public scrutiny and legal proceedings. He was recently found guilty on three federal felony gun charges.
