Jigsaw's popular City Coat, a style previously worn by Kate Middleton, is making a comeback for the autumn season with an updated maxi length. The brand is releasing the 64th iteration of the classic design, featuring a floor-grazing hemline intended to provide warmth during colder weather.
The 100% wool coat is described as having a luxurious feel and a "quiet luxury" aesthetic, drawing comparisons to high-end brands like The Row and Max Mara. Its enduring appeal has made it a consistent bestseller for Jigsaw, accounting for a significant portion of the brand's coat sales each autumn since its initial launch over a decade ago.
Kate Middleton was seen wearing a charcoal grey version of the coat last year, which reportedly led to a substantial increase in sales for that style. Despite this "Kate effect," the coat has maintained its popularity and status as a timeless piece.
The current offering includes the coat in several neutral colors, with a brown check version expected to be released soon. Interested customers can sign up for notifications for the new pattern.
