Jennifer Lopez has encountered a setback in selling the $61 million Los Angeles mansion that served as her marital home with Ben Affleck, as a potential buyer has withdrawn from the deal. The buyer, who had reportedly paid a substantial deposit, pulled out of the transaction this Tuesday, according to TMZ.

The sprawling 46,000-square-foot estate in Beverly Crest, featuring 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms, was initially listed for $68 million in June 2024, two months before Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on their second wedding anniversary.

Affleck and Lopez purchased the property in May 2023 for $60,850,000. By the time they began attempting to sell in June 2024, rumors of marital difficulties were circulating. Affleck acquired a $20 million bachelor pad in Pacific Palisades in August 2024, the same month Lopez filed for divorce. Following the finalization of their divorce in February 2025, Lopez reportedly purchased a $21 million home in Calabasas but continued to reside in the Beverly Crest mansion, undertaking an extensive remodel.

The couple faced challenges in offloading the compound. After the initial listing, they removed the estate from the market in July 2024. It was relisted in September 2024 at a reduced price of $52 million but was delisted again in January. In April, legal documents indicated that Affleck transferred his stake in the property to Lopez, making her solely responsible for any future sale expenses.

The divorce settlement stipulated a property transfer at an unspecified time. Lopez, 56, is also navigating an empty nest as her 18-year-old twins are preparing for college. Affleck, 53, is co-parenting his three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. A representative for Lopez did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
