Jennifer Lawrence, 36, has revealed she uses small doses of Botox, a procedure she calls 'baby Botox,' explaining that she needs facial movement for her roles and cannot undergo extensive treatments. The actress shared this in a recent interview, discussing her approach to maintaining her appearance while preserving her ability to express emotions on screen.
Lawrence also expressed a desire for buccal fat removal, a procedure that minimizes cheek fullness to create a more sculpted facial structure. However, she stated she is too nervous to pursue it at this time, acknowledging that its effects would be noticeable. "Everybody would know, but just know that I want that," she said.
Fans have often remarked on Lawrence's seemingly unchanged complexion since her rise to prominence in "Winter's Bone" in 2010. In addition to 'baby Botox,' she relies on facials to maintain her skin's appearance, noting that even if her skin is "a little saggier than I would like," it still looks "dewy and pretty."
Her skincare routine includes Tretinoin cream as part of a "retinol journey." She also uses Desitin, a diaper rash ointment, at night, particularly when increasing her retinol dosage. Lawrence stated that the ointment helps to reduce redness and appears to make pores smaller.
Lawrence, who has two young sons with her husband Cooke Maroney, previously disclosed in October that she was considering breast enhancement surgery. She cited the effects of her second pregnancy on her body as the reason, stating that "Everything bounced back, pretty much, after the first one. Second one, nothing bounced back."
She also mentioned having a nude scene to film in the upcoming months, though she did not specify the project. While Lawrence suggested she would likely still pursue the procedure regardless of her fame, she admitted that her status might influence the urgency of seeking it out.
The actress also touched on her dislike for time-consuming beauty routines, comparing going to the nail salon to visiting a "hand dentist" due to the tediousness. She expressed a desire for multitasking beauty treatments, such as getting a manicure and pedicure while driving.
Lawrence also commented on her past use of vitamin C cream, stating it is "over for me" after hearing it might be ineffective. However, she remains open to ingestible vitamins, believing they may benefit her skin.
